MAIN TOPIC: Infectious and non-infectious granulomatous diseases of the skin

REGISTRATION OPEN: Registration link is here.

CALL FOR MYSTERY CASES!!

For the mystery slide session, we invite submissions of unusual cases. Contributors will give a brief presentation, and the moderator will facilitate comments and discussion from both the panel and the audience. We particularly encourage cases with good clinical and histological workups, ideally including clinical follow-up. While granulomatous diseases are preferred, submissions on other topics are also welcome.

Submission Details:
Please submit a short case description along with representative images for review by Monday, March 31, 2025, to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

If your case is selected, you will need to provide two H&E recut slides to be scanned in advance. At the meeting, you will present your case in a concise PowerPoint presentation (approximately 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of discussion). The presentation should include:

  • Case history and signalment
  • Gross photographs
  • Histologic features, including special stains and immunohistochemistry, if available

We also encourage the use of audience polling to make the session more interactive. ISVD offers access to a polling system (www.polleverywhere.com) to enhance audience participation.

Please note that there will be no speaker compensation for these sessions. However, your contributions will be invaluable in enriching the learning experience and fostering discussion within our community.

CALL FOR SHORT COMMUNICATIONS!!

Short communications offer a unique opportunity to present new, interesting, or unusual cases in a concise format. These submissions will be reviewed and, if accepted, will be published in the Veterinary Dermatology journal, along with all the congress abstracts.

Submission Details: We invite you to submit your short communications through the official congress abstract submission portal. Be sure to stay updated by visiting the congress website for more information on submission deadlines and guidelines (https://www.esvd-ecvdcongress.com/).

Why Participate?

  • Your work will be published in Veterinary Dermatology.
  • Gain exposure within the international veterinary dermatology community.
  • Contribute to the growth of our field and the education of future practitioners.

We strongly encourage dermatology and pathology residents to get involved and take advantage of this opportunity to engage with your peers and contribute to the success of the ISVD congress.
