Dear Colleagues,
As some of you might know, I have collected more than 1500 skin slides over the last 25 years, and I would like to make them available to interested veterinary pathologists and veterinary dermatologists, as well as to residents of both specialties.
They are accompanied by an excel file that contains information about the species, the breed, the sex, the age, and a disease or morphological diagnosis. Unfortunately, the clinical history is not scanned.
Since histopathology is not an exact science and the collection encompasses a very broad time span with both classic and challenging diagnostic cases, it is possible that other pathologists would have come up with a different interpretation for some cases.
In addition, over the years, some diseases have been reviewed and reassigned to different diagnoses in light of current knowledge. I nevertheless think that this collection can be used as a reference source.
Sven Rottenberg, the head of the Institute of Animal Pathology in Bern, kindly agreed to sponsor the scanning and storage of these slides. A great thank you to him.
ISVD MEMBERS may ACCESS these slides via this link.
I hope you like the slide collection and that it is useful for you.
If you have any further questions, ISVD Members please don't hesitate to send an email per the Access Link above
Kind regards,
Monica Welle
